Well another very enjoyable Anime Boston has come and gone. I had a lot of fun hanging out with friends, going to panels, and hosting a panel myself for the very first time.
Anime Boston is held every year at the Hynes Convention center which is naturally located in Boston, Massachusetts. As the premier anime convention this side of the red line, Anime Boston is plays host to a plethora of very information panels done by both industry insiders and patrons of the convention. It also features a pretty robust dealer’s room and artists alley. The dealer’s room in particular had a pretty good selection of model kits and robot toys both modern and old. One of my friends even scored some choice animation cels from 80’s fantasy themed SD Gundam Gaiden OVA’s for around ten dollars per cel! I’m definitely going to try and attend next year! I can only hope my Guilty Gear skills have been polished by then though. Curse you, Kurodoberi Jam!
Now let’s look at some cosplay!
It’s THE Macross cosplayer!
I’d heard she doesn’t like Sheryl.
BOMBAH!
Two men that transcend all media.
The daughter of a mochi maker, a badminton player, and the wordiest bird.
This Sailor Senshi of free bags at the Daisuki booth!
This man could make his face plate move up and down with magic.
It’s the moment you see the name of your panel on a sci-fi display screen that you know you’ve arrived.
OH HEY VEEF WHADDYA BUY @ ANIME BOSTO-
Oh.
