G.I. Joe Retaliation's Roadblock in 1/6 by Hot Toys

TOYSREVIL'S I LIKE TOYS - 22 May, 2013 - 20:04
ROADBLOCK_HOT_TOYS_01
First we had the splendid Snake-Eyes, then the spectacular Storm Shadow, now we have ROADBLOCK in 1/6th-scale from Hot Toys! From the live-action feature film G.I. Joe Retaliation, I'm still not convinced about the headsculpt-likeness to actor Dwayne Johnson, with this looking a bit "vacuous" (to put it "exceedingly mildly") … or perhaps we/I are/am too used to the crocked eye-brow stance of "The Rock" … nevertheless, the military gear is top-notch, but then again Hot Toys had always been fantastic with their military accessories, IMHO.

Check with your fav retailers for availability and pricing, and feel free to check out THIS Facebook album for more snaps!

FYI: Sideshow Toys has it priced at US$219.99 per, for a December 2013 estimated ship-date.

ROADBLOCK_HOT_TOYS_02
ROADBLOCK_HOT_TOYS_03PRESS: 'In view of the popularity of the Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow collectible figure, Hot Toys is proud to present a new addition to our MMS series from the action packed G.I. Joe Retaliation - the 1/6th scale Roadblock Collectible Figure. Roadblock is a force to be reckoned with and the Cobra should think twice before taking on the great one.

Based on the iconic brand from Hasbro, the movie-accurate collectible is specially crafted based on the image of Dwayne Johnson as Roadblock in the movie, featuring a highly detailed head sculpt, finely tailored costume and weapons.'

Hot Toys x Man of Steel

Plastic and Plush - 22 May, 2013 - 18:10
Hot Toys Man of Steel 1

The Superman reboot - Man of Steel - will begin to hit theaters worldwide next month. And Hot Toys is now beginning to tease a few of their upcoming sixth-scale figures. I'm cautiously optimistic that this version will at least equal the amazing story told in Superman 3.

Plastic and Plush - 22 May, 2013 - 13:22
Funko Walking Dead Minis 1

Funko has announced what might be the best toy line based on AMC's The Walking Dead license to date. The Walking Dead: Mystery Minis is a blind-box series that is slated to be released on June 20th 2013.

The 2.5" tall figures include the Dixon boys (Merle and Darryl) in both regular and blood spatter version. There's also eight different zombies, with four of them having variants (blood spatter and glow-in-the-dark). That's a total of 16 different figures, although the pull rates differ by piece.
