"Transformers Animated" debuts in Japan
I'll keep this short: for the Japanese audience, this is filled with spoilers, but it's just so dammed awesome.
This, however, uses footage taken from the show, and an updated version of a classic theme.

This is the first time I've ever liked a Japanese version of an American version of Transformers more than the original JAM PROJECT FTW!

Animated lives! Still the same show but the new intro is awesome. My hope is this does so well in Japan, that Takara tomy commissions the lost 4th season or something like Animated Nisei.
Also, does anyone think we will finally get IronHide(US ironhide, not bulkhead), Omega, and Rodimus?
Me personally,- well i want rodimus-but i would like to see toys of Perceptor and Warpath, even if they will be 30 bucks a pop(or bot)
Rodimus and Ironhide are both on the way, they'll be coming around summer/fall. No Omega, Perceptor, or Warpath are planned at this time.
I know TF:Animated ended abruptly, but... there was a 4th season planned?

How many times has a Transformers cartoon been brought to Japan from overseas? I think Beast Wars was, but I can't think of any others.
"Beast Wars", yes, and Bayformers. Those, plus "Animated", and that's it. Oh, and there's the new "War for Cybertron" video game and upcoming "Transformers: Prime" series.

The original American Transformers series from the '80s was dubbed into Japanese and shown in Japan, as was Beast Wars and Beast Machines (known as Beast Wars Returns in Japan).
Technically, the 1986 movie wasn't brought over to Japan until 1989/90.

Wait- TF:TM was an American production??? Or did the story comes from the US and was animated in Japan?

The entire G1 cartoon is an American production. Hasbro wanted to make a story to tie together all the toys they wanted to import from Takara... Transformers isn't anime because it's not a Japanese production. It's a good old home-grown American cartoon, just like GI Joe. Transformers wasn't a Japanese cartoon until Headmasters, when it diverged from the American continuity.

The original Transformers series was written and conceived and recorded by Americans, but the animation was farmed out to Japan (Toei) and Korea (AKOM, who later did the poor looking episodes of Tiny Toons and The Simpsons). Transformers: The Movie was animated by Toei.
To bad the cartoon itself is not as good as that intro.

The Japanese Trans-fans 'll be saying the same thing next year when it finished. Hell- Arcee (she don't get treated so well) and Slipstream (female clone) are featured prominently here, yet neither does anything 'cept hang around in annoying ways. And, oh yeah- Blurr is only in three episodes.
Just wasn't satisfying closure despite a good run.

Isn't it funny that those folks from Japan they've decided to 'cut-copy-paste' aka butchered TF: Animated's self-contained continuity to death, & make it look like it ties-in to the events in the Bayformers movies?

Have they modified it during translation already with the first episode? The OP is certainly higher-energy than the series is, but how would they change it from what it is other than through the dub?

I think Animated was the best TV show from TF universe we got in 10 years. And I liked it, apart from the fact that CN ended it one season before it was planned, that's why there are so many unfinished stories in S3.
I agree with Wallas.
The intro, however, makes things look a lot more eciting then they actually are.
I want this song now.
How long until I can download the whole opening theme song from somewhere? It's fricken sweeeet!
