One thing that always bugged me about the Queadluun Rau is that it has no real lower torso for the hips to hook onto.

LoL- two Klan Klang torsos are provided: one busty, one less-so.

I think those are the other two pilots in pixie squad.

Are these supposed to be in-scale with the other Bandai Valk chogokin? 1/60, I believe...

That'd be interesting to see these matched up against Yamato's 1/60 Q-Rau...

Um... if these were also 1/60, you could put a Valk inside of these, they would have provided fully-poseable Meltrandi figures rather than removable busts, and it would have stood three feet tall.

Awesome as that sounds, you would hear the collectors crying from across the sea as well over it's price...!

Last time I checked, Yamato's 1/60 Q-rau wasn't three feet tall.

No, c'mon-! That's not right at all...!

The Valkyries were specifically designed to be able to combat a Zentradi/Meltrandi at their own size, hence a Battroid stands to the same height.
Now, if a Meltrandi is, what, 10m tall(?), then the Battroids better be the same height. A standard Battroid should be able to fit inside a Q-Rau (thanks for the new abbreviation!) with no problem. Therefor, a 1/60 Q-Rau should be huge and expensive and boast being able to more-or-less accept a 1/60 Valk.

Hey, don't look at me. *I* didn't come up with the self-conflicting scales of mecha in the animation...or in the toys.

I have the Exosquad release of the Glaug (officers' battlepod) with a GI Joe guy sitting in the cockpit. I always thought it was weird that that little 3-3/4" figure was supposed to be the size of a battroid...

Sure didn't look that way in the cartoon...

It always appeared that Valkyries were larger than your average sized Zentran which would make these armor suits the right size for the scale they're in. You're perfectly right Sanjeev.

but the Matchbox figures and vehicles really shouldn't be used for scaling purposes as that line had quite a few issues but I see the point you were making! ; )

BTW has these always been referred to as "The Pixie Squadron", it sounds like somebody in fandom made that up!

Cheers!

Huh...I thought the Valk battroids were a little shorter than an unarmored Zentraedi...

I seem to recall the episode where Max's battroid "dresses" like a Zentran officer to sneak around on a ship! Wasn't he shorter than most of the Zentraedi walking around??

But you're right: using the Matchbox toys to determine scale is folly...I just always found it funny!

And, yeah, as I recall, the Q-Rea squad were called the "Pixies"...which I find abominous, since they're a race of warrior women. Since when does "Pixies" strike terror into one's enemies??

"...Since when does "Pixies" strike terror into one's enemies??"

...Since they decided to name giant abstract-looking monsters hell-bent on destroying humanity after messengers from God. Since Disney decided to make the plunge and name a real professional hockey team after an animal that flies around, has more bark than bite, and leave little presents on park lawns, and whose namesake was based on a film series that sucked mightily.

(*shrugs*)
