Adult Swim to spoof Japanese hero shows
Now, I've rarely bothered with the whole Adult Swim thing and I'm not sure this will get me watching either. But I know it will interest several members here.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the good folks who brought you Robot Chicken will be doing a new show called "Titan Maximum". Basically, the idea is to show what would really happen if giant monsters attacked and the only defense against it was a bunch of kids with a giant robot!
The article says it will be a team of heroes whose ships combine to form a giant robot. Sounds like they may be goofing on the Power Rangers/Super Sentai franchise, but it was not specific about that. The new series will be stop motion and feature a recurring cast of characters and a continuing storyline. It should be interesting to see what they do with it.

Oh well, it just means that its another piece of imbecility that I won't be watching (then again, that's my opinion).
Seth Green and his team showed how this could work on some occasions, like when they showed Gangsta Godzilla, Break Dance Voltron or SuperRobot Flu. This might be very interesting. I hope this is something like the segment of Robot Carnival when teenagers had to fight a mad british scientist invading Edo with a parade-designed robot... that was absolutely hilarious.
Hey, don't forget the Vehicle Voltron Force bit, where they took forever to combine while the space station got the crap blown out of them! Absolutely killer!
I'm willing to give this a shot, but yeah, as of late, there's not a lot of genuinely funny stuff coming outta AS. I mean, "Superjail"? Come on...

Robot Chicken is a lot of fun, this should be interesting. Looking forward to it :D
All the power to you, but I'm not.
The only thing I'm looking forward to is getting home from work every night.
