Grendizer
METALTECH 01 DX–Grendizer: Die Cast Action Figure Pack was provided by HL Pro.
The Grendizer: Die Cast Action Figure Pack comes in a long rectangular box, with cool back graphics, a bubble tray, and Grendizer, the Spaizer, a stand, and six accessories with a bonus item!
The Spazier is smaller than the SOC version, but this baby is mostly diecast.
It slides into two pegged 360 degree and fully rotating stands.
Also, included are the drill missile saucers that slide onto the Spaizer‘s arms.
The figure is nice, with flat and sickle holding hands. It is mostly die-cast (legs, chest, shoulders). It poses well and seems more stable than the SOC version (I have pictures with accurate missing shoulder sickles, and inaccurate but cool looking blades in the shoulders even though they are in his hands…).
I was not crazy about the arm joints. They don’t fall out, but seem weak.
The “secret” bonus item is a “manga” colored head (yellow horned one). I am glad they included it, I liked it much better than the “normal” head.
The front of the Spaizer comes off and after you separate Grandizer’s top half from his bottom half, he slips into the saucer. The look is pretty good, same look as SOC but sturdier (he can’t slide out like with the SOC version).
He is smaller than the SOC version. I like this guy, not as much as the SOC (notice the cool handle for the sickle that I had made through Sanjeev’s site… the SOC handle broke and never held together), but for the price ($149.99) and the diecast Spaizer, I am I glad I have this in my collection.
It should be noted that HL Pro is a great company! They shipped out the set and Grendizer was missing his shoulder blades. I emailed my concerns and they express mailed me replacements the same day! HL Pro were great pros and I will be happy to support them by buying their products.

A great solution to the tilt head issue, i.e. a poor angle facing forward, is you slide out a tab in the back of the neck and then you have a perfectly forward facing head in the Spaizer mode!
