Predator Hound

The Predator Hounds come from the 2018 Predators film. I saw it, and it left almost no impact on me whatsoever. So naturally, I was excited to unexpectedly get these in the mail from Hiya Toys.

Lately, Hiya has been putting out some great action figures, with fantastic detail and articulation. These are not those. I mean, the detail is great, but the articulation sort of stinks, and I think only hardcore fans of a mediocre movie are going to be into these.

These are hounds sent out to track down the little kid in the movie, Rory. It’s hard to even tell what they look like in the movie. So these figures do afford a better look at the hounds.

The hounds LOOK great. The QC is flawless, the paint and detail are astounding. Two are included in a pack, and they are identical except for the heads.

Each has 5 points of articulation – 4 swivel hips and a swivel neck. Considering how articulated their action figures are, this is a huge letdown. They really don’t stand in any other pose than the one the legs are molded into.

The pack of two will cost you $19.99, and it’s a fair price if you are into these. I just can’t get excited for them. I guess I should be glad that Hiya is branching out from standard predator figures. YMMV.
