I first saw these and thought they looked a lot like Hailfire droids from Star Wars, but what they are in fact are gaming robots. These cool things can be controlled with a remote, or programmed to do certain tasks within the game.
Each set includes one robot and an assortment of targets and accessories. You can plug the robot into your PC where you can program it with certain battle patterns. you can also drive the robot around in a virtual world, where you can unlock special attacks and movements which you can then download into the robot for use in real world combat. It's a pretty cool idea, check out the video below.
Oh, and did I mention that they are local to CDX HQ? Yeah, they are only about 45 minutes from here.. gotta support the local robot nerds.
