I don't know whose idea it was to advertise a robot section at toy fair and populate it with this stuff, but I want to have a word with them. Robots should have firing fists, not servo motors. But robotics seem to be kind of a buzz word at toy fair, and there was some neat stuff on display. one of which was Robotis. Robotis is a Korean robotics company who manufactures robotics kits for educational and classroom use. They also have a hobby version of the kit that is more focused on building a playable model than a controllable robot. As cool as these look, it appears that a high level of experiences with robotics and/or programming is required to do the advanced kits. check them out at http://www.robotis.com/
