Fei Yen

From the hit Dreamcast and arcade game Virtual On, comes the lovely Fei Yen. This is the special limited edition tiger mode version of the figure.

Fei Yen

Fei Yen features 29 points of articulation and includes variant hands and a hot pink base. She is molded out of translucent, amber plastic.

She is marvelously sculpted and detailed. The tiger motif makes her possibly the cutest robot figure ever made.

Fei Yen

The articulation, in true Kaiyodo fashion, is a bit odd. Her joints are primarily mono-shaft style, which can create some dynamic poses. However, strangely enough, she cannot do something as simple as stand on her own.

Also, like other Kaiyodo toys I’ve purchased previously, this figure was broken when I received it. The ankle on this figure was actually broken, lying there as a separate piece in the package. Was it broken during shipping, or was it shipped like that? One must wonder because Kaiyodo has had numerous quality control problems in the past, especially with their Virtual On line.

All in all, it’s an attractive figure, but it suffers from odd articulation and quality control issues. Buyer beware.
