DOMO
“RAAAAR!! Japan’s favorite furball is invading the United States, and Dark Horse is helping to lead the charge. Dark Horse is ramping up a special program of officially-licensed Domo merchandise, and clever retailers will stock up lest they find their ankles being chomped on. Obey the Domo! Available in limited quantities and in four, fun colors — Classic Brown, Fabulous Fuchsia, Royal Blue, and Polar White — each furry-flocked Domo vinyl figure…”
Today I will be reviewing Dark Horse’s flocked vinyl Domo figure (Classic Brown Edition).Domo arrives courtesy of Dark Horse Comics
Domo comes in a nicely illustrated window box and requires no assembly. He is ready to be plucked from his box to be enjoyed!
To start with, I would like to say this toy is quite well put together. There are no seams, the color of the flocking is uniform, the eyes are even, and it appears to be an alltogether durable toy.
The arms rotate a full 360 degrees and the feet are stationary. The 8″ body of Domo is chunky and could easily withstand rough play. Of course this also makes Domo a little boring. He does not include any accessories so what you see is what you get.
In conclusion, I would like to say Domo is a pretty cool collectible, and I am happy to add him to my collection. One of the only disappointments I encountered was with the picture on the outside of the box. It was decorated with scenes of Domo playing outside, doing poses that the toy does not actually do. Also his fur on the package is much more fluffy and inviting than the actual toy.
If you are as big of a fan of the character as I am, I want to say go out and get him! Domo is available at the Dark Horse website
