Copter-Bot Rescue
I picked up this guy in one of the random shops in San Francisco’s Japantown Mall. It was cheap, i’d never seen it before, so there you go.
Made by King Dragon Toys, Copter-Bot is one of the dozens of faceless Chinese diecast robots that came out in the mid 2000’s. Despite it’s questionable pedigree, it’s a well made toy.
The packaging is bright and colorful, but nothing you haven’t seen before.
Vehicle mode is bright and playful, with working propellers and a fair amount of diecast construction. It’s about 5 inches long.
Robot mode is just plain ugly. Transformation is simple and ham-fisted.
You’d think that the tail would go down here, but it doesn’t
The head is hidden under the main prop. It’s sculpt is soft but sufficient.
Copter-Bot Rescue is unremarkable in almost every way. However, it exists, therefore we must chronicle it.
