Baby Otachi

I remember talking to Randy at NECA at Toy Fair and he was telling me how bummed he was that the baby Otachi that came with the Otachi toy was so tiny, so they decided as a sort of throwaway release to create a rubber toy of the Baby Otachi. You know your company is doing well when you can create these sort of things on a whim.

Baby Otachi comes in at a lower price point than the standard figures, and also comes carded on a traditional blister card. NECA figures usually come in those horrible clamshells, so this was a welcome change.

Baby Otachi is made entirely out of squishy rubber, and feels like a novelty item won at a carnival, only with better paint. There is no articulation, but there is actually a bendy bit in the tail that can hold a shape.

Compared to the baby that comes with the normal release, This one is monstrous.

Baby Otachi earns the distinction of being the first toy that features an umbilical cord strangling itself.
