Robo+Gun

Robo+Gun is a knockoff of the Gobots Convertible Laser Gun made by Playtime. This iteration was made by Golden Toys out of taiwan, and judging by the packaging i’d put it’s release somewhere in the mid 1990s.

The box is made out of thick cardboard with a clear window.

While the toy is unremarkable in itself, half the reason worth purchasing is the engrish on the box.

Robo+gun comes attached to a backing card with a twist tie.

The toy is all plastic, unlike it’s predecessor which had some diecast in the legs. The build is good, but stickers have begun to peel with age.

In gun mode, the toy is appropriately sized for a child’s hand. It’s a solid mode, with no real clue that it turns into a robot.

Flip the arms down, twist the waist, unfold the legs. That’s all there is to it. Robo+Gun.

Once the batteries are inserted you can pull the trigger to make various sounds. Watch the video, I dare you to make it all the way through.
