Sena
I am a huge, huge fan of “Boku wa Tomodachi ga sukunai,” or “Haganai.” While harem comedies aren’t my thing, this one is different because it pokes fun at anything and everything anime and harem comedy-related. Sena, the busty blond be-butterflied beauty (nicknamed “Meat” by the very tsundere Yozora), is a take on “OreImo’s” Kirino. She’s a foil to the Haruhi-like Yozora, and is often crushed under her rival’s heel. It doesn’t stop my from loving her – just the opposite. That’s why when a friend of mine went to Japan and asked what Nendo she should bring me, Sena was the obvious choice.
Here’s the box. It’s a standard Nendoroid box, jam packed with accessories.
And the case. You can really see just how much is here. There are so many fantastic accessories to this figure – she’s worth the sticker price in accessories alone.
And here’s Sena!
Check out her lovely butterfly and her pouty, angry little face. You can easily see her having just gotten the wicked side of Yozora’s tongue.
There’s that butterfly again. Let’s get a closer look at it, shall we?
The wings are translucent, and in the picture it kind of gives a double vision sort of look.
Here she is from the back. You can see that the arm goes in between her body and her hair to plug into the port in her back. Typically this setup annoys the crap out of me because it forces the Nendoroid’s head down; this isn’t the case with Sena. It’s a roomy fit, very easy to maneuver around.
How about some alternate arms? Here’s her arms crossed pose.
This is a pretty popular pose with Good Smile; my very first Nendo, Kurisu from “Steins;Gate,” has the same pose.
And, because she’s Sena, she also comes with a PSP.
How about a look over her shoulder at the screen?
It’s time for another pose!
I’ll just assume Yozora said something hideously cruel here – probably about her boobs, because what else could account for that arm pose? Her arms actually have giant chunks carved out of them to fit around her breasts. Yozora doesn’t call her Meat for nothing, kids.
And here’s the cry face again, with yet another set of hands (almost like she’s about to throw a particularly girly punch) and the kicking legs. Her left leg is slightly raised.
Sena has perhaps one of the coolest accessories of any Nendo out there – a friggin’ PS3. She has the whole setup ready to go – chair, TV, TV stand. Check it.
Yozora, who Good Smile created as her companion figure, also has a chair and gaming accessories. The two chairs fit together. I was pretty curious as to how that would work, so here’s a shot of the chair disassembled and ready to hook up with Yozora’s to make a sofa.
It’s super easy to take apart and set up again.
Here’s a closer look at the TV, stand and PS3.
Fat little console, isn’t it? Must be from the first wave of PS3.
Now let’s plonk Sena down in her chair.
And add in the controller and console, to complete the setup:
How happy does she look? She must be playing some little sister ero game.
Gaming is always more fun with some friends.
For that much celebration, she must have just unlocked and achievement!
