Asuna
Is there anything as wonderful as a new Nendoroid? Here’s Asuna from “Sword Art Online,” Good Smile’s 283rd Nendo.
In the box:
And in the case. She has a good few accessories but, sadly, no sandwich.
And now out of the box. She looks so happy to be here!
From the sides and back:
The paint job is lovely, though I’d expect no less from Good Smile.
Let’s put a sword in her hand!
Her chubby little legs are adorable, but not terribly scary. I don’t think Lightning Asuna is going to strike fear into anyone’s heart.
This, by the way, is the activated form of her sword. She has a silver version, too. Here it is, with scabbard:
Kirito may have taught her to dual wield.
There’s also a version of her scabbard with the sword in place.
This was the accessory I was really looking forward to playing with. It’s her game menu, good for switching out weapons or pulling out ingredients to make Kirito a sandwich.
Asuna is a fantastic Nendoroid. I would have liked for more of an action facial expression, like a shouting and lunging sort of thing, but oh well. We can’t have everything, I suppose. She does stand up to the standards of the Nendo line in terms of sculpt, paint and usability. In fact, my overall opinion about this figure is easily summed up by showing you her last face.
