Agurts Beaver Wf4w

The Agurts Beaver Wf4w is a construction mecha from the world of Acid Rain. This unit shares some similar parts to their other mecha and a similar transformation mechanism, although there is enough here that is different to warrant the purchase.

Included with the set is the main mecha, a figure, variant driller hands, some tools, and a power canister. I had put the box away prior to shooting the figure, so the drill hands and figure weapons are not shown in this review.

Also shown on the box is the modular nature of the figure, and how it can connect with various other Acid Rain sets from B2Five.

In robot mode, it’s a cool construction walker. There’s a bunch of articulation that gives a good range of motion, but of note is the arms that feature a sliding joint that extends the reach in two places. First, the long yellow arm assembly slides along where it connects to the forearm, and then again the contents of that yellow section slide out to reveal a cylindrical external arm. The “hands” are on a ball joint with pincers that open and close. You can replace these hands with small drill-like tools (not shown).

The front panel opens for access to the removable, fully-poseable pilot.

Vehicle mode is compact and utilizes the same transformation system as the others in the line.

You can use vehicle mode with the arms out.

There are lots of nice tabs and slots to keep everything tight and secure.

The small pegs shown dotting the figure are foot pegs for the figure to attach to. The handles can also be held by figures. 

The circular hatch on the top opens to reveal a removable power core.

Connectors on the front and back allow units to be chained together.

Overall it’s a great addition to the line that unfortunately has had no new entries since this release two years ago. (The have since done Mospeada and Votoms toys, but no more Acid Rain). I do hope we continue to see more as it’s a very fun line.
