Crasher

Crasher is based off of a 1982 Porsche 956 C Coupe race car. (link). The toy replicated the look of the classic sportscar, right down to the vehicle number and sponsor labels. The first version of the toy was indentical to its Machine Robo release, but was recolored in 1984 for the second release to match her appearance in the Gobots Cartoon.

Aside from color, the toys are the same. As Crasher gets older, she suffers from weak joints and sticker peel. Her rubber tires can dry out, and finding a loose one that can stand can be a challenge. Car mode is solid.

Crasher was re-released again in 1993 in the European-Only Robo Machines line, now dubbed “Sports Car” with different stickers.
