Well, this happened.

In advance of Tamashii Nations 2012 opening on 10.26.2012 in Akihabara, Bandai released a press release announcing the “Chogokin Cho-gattai King Robot Mickey & Friends”  (超合金 超合体キングロボ ミッキー＆フレンズ)

I thought it was a joke at first, but this is a real thing. This giant chogokin Disney combiner will be available March 2013 for 13,440 Yen.

This is not entirely without precedent. Disney and Bandai have collaborated on Chogokin before, with the Chogokin Buzz Lightyear and the Chogokin Drossel figures.

Included in the set are the following characters:

• Mickey Mouse – Mickey Jet (ジェットミッキー)
• Minnie Mouse – Sky Minnie (スカイミニー)
• Donald Duck – Donald Diver (ダイバードナルド)
• Daisy Duck – Aqua Daisy (アクアデイジー)
• Goofy – Goofy Land (ランドグーフィー)
• Pluto & his kennel – Dash Pluto & “Inugoya” (ダッシュプルート＆イヌゴヤ)
• Steamboat Willie – Ace Willie (エースウィリー)
