Highbreed
The second I found out that there was some cheap new Bandai vinyl available at my local retailer, I didn’t waste time in picking them up. My first review of these vinyls was for Vilgax from Ben 10: Ultimate Alien. This review is for Highbreed who is also from Ben 10: Ultimate Alien…I know, I know what you’re thinking, but hear me out for a sec. Aside from those awkward looking figures that cater mostly to very young kids, there are some figures that may pique the interest of Kaiju fans. Here, for your reading pleasure is HIghbreed.
It’s a pretty solid well balanced figure. It stands about 7″. The paint apps have good detail. I love they way the black shading has been applied to this figure. I would have preferred a dark gray over the use of black, but hey, it still looks good.
The back is nicely detailed, I really enjoy the sculpting on this figure. Very well done. Very veiny and muscular, like yours truly. I wish.
The face is chock full of detail although I’m not sure what to make of it. It looks like a purple alien trying to squeeze out of his neck. I guess that’s the point, after all this is an alien.
How about articulation? It’s got a whopping four points of articulation. Highbreed’s lower part of the shoulder swivels and the legs swivel, but neither allows any sort of useful posing.
So bottom line is that this is a cheap way to get nice looking Bandai vinyl. How cheap? I paid less than 10 bucks for mine.
