These are totally weird. If I had to guess tho, I'd assume that the 'Designer' crowd has run far, far away from the mass-market guys beating whatever it was 'Designer' stood for into the ground with all their projects. Seriously... have you seen DC's Blammo'z or whatever they're called? They're hideous.

The other thing that I can think of, which might just be a personal bias thing, is that everything else you've covered so far was either: An adult-collector action figure, or a true 'kid's toy', both of which are designed in part, to be fun and functional. Aside as paper-weights, I just don't see the appeal in something like these, and I feel like alot of the Toy Fair crowd would think the same way.

Kinda figured...

I kinda figured the whole urban/designer vinyl thing was dead when Disney started making their own custom paint scheme vinyl mickey's...

Yesterday at Toys R Us I saw

Yesterday at Toys R Us I saw some designer vinyls of Mega Man,ProtoMan,Sonic,WereSonic,and I think a couple other dudes,and I really thought they were cool,but I think once we're in a national chain toy store with characters from hugely popular video games,we're pretty far from anything "designer."
