This is about robots with blond wigs wearing gold lamé bodysuits, guys with LOTS OF BODY HAIR (also goat legs), and horny computers. Yes, this is an Italian Star Wars ripoff.

The official poster art (used on the American DVD) is stolen from a Frank Frazetta painting. Frazetta originally painted a variation on this for the cover of an Edgar Rice Burroughs book called The Moon Maid.

You can see here the cover.

Here’s Frazetta’s revised version, the one stolen by The Beast in Space. So by my count, this movie ripped off Star Wars, Star Trek, The Beast, and Frank Frazetta. There may be more, but isn’t this enough? Did I mention a good chunk of this movie was filmed in authentic ancient Roman ruins?

Here’s another cover, I believe the Italian VHS release. It’s much, much worse. If this is all they could come up with, you can see why they would want to steal Frazetta’s work in the first place.

Pew! Pew!

SCIENCE FICTION!

See, this is why I don’t rely on ancient computers to mind-control people.

Thrills the screen can barely contain!
