Super Robots Giant Monsters - a CollectionDX Event

I'm proud to announce Super Robots Giant Monsters (SRGM), a one day event in Lowell, Massachusetts. This event is the next step in the evolution of what we used to do at the summit. The summit will still exist, but this is taking that idea into a different direction.

This all started with a trip to a place called Mill No.5. I found out about this project through a friend on facebook, and we went to visit early on in its construction. It's a renovated mill building being re-imagined for creative types and start up businesses. My initial thought was to actually open a CollectionDX Space - a mix of gallery space and store that we could also use as a studio for the show.

I fell in love with this space, and this idea. I loved the idea of getting in on the ground floor. I was at a point in my lfe where my job sucked and I was ready for a change. Sadly, reality hit me. I couldn't come up with a valid business plan. The Mill was taking too long to get to a space where it would be worth my while. I got a new full time job and that was that.

Fast forward to Christmastime. An event called A Little Bazaar was being held at the Mill. We checked it out and it was such a vibrant space, with tons of vendors and such a great vibe. I thought, "How cool would it be to have an event like this here, for us?" An idea was born.

I've made a lot of great friends through this hobby, and a lot of them are creative types. Lets get them all together to showcase their talents to the world (or at least the Merrimack Valley). Lets get out of the shadows and really make this a "thing" that isn't constrained by how many people I can fit in my backyard.

So here it is. The plan is to have a full day of hardcore nerd action. We're planning an Art Show, Vendor Area, a pop up Toy Gallery and if all goes as planned some REALLY cool suprise things. 

We've got our first sponsor in Onell Design, so there will be a HUGE Glyos presence, hopefully involving some exclusive goodies from that crew.

So start making plans. Book a room. Please, won't you come and join us? I promise it will be epic.
