Don't you have anything original to say rather than hiding behind Destroy's [figurative] skirts and just carbon-copying everything he says?

Besides, what's your problem with what I said anyways? Mmm? I wasn't attacking you; hell, I wasn't attacking anyone 'til people started criticizing my opinions.

As always, the Destroy All Podcasts DX going up this weekend will be about anime. The next ST will still not be on topic, because they are not supposed to be on topic. That is the point.
(*scoffs*)
.
Whatever. At least the podcast was removed from the homepage, and you got a content warning up; that's all I needed.
.
Now, about being on-topic...? :P

I really do not think CDX is a kid safe site, as Andrew pointed out to me, it also has content like this: http://collectiondx.com/node/1230
Nothing like erotic anime figures to please the 4-5 year old kid market.
The whole point of ST was to do off topic podcasts that I could edit in a short amount of time instead of spending the four hours I usually spending editing a podcast, which is why I left out the theme song and closing thing. I guess this also meant I did not think to post the usual robot voice disclaimer. Fine, I will add that to future ST installments.
You already admitted that your have used the word "shit" in one of your own articles, so I think it is pretty hyprocritical to say that you, "don't really want the reputation of CollectionDX.com to say that we have to curse to review toys and models."
I'm not saying that your podcast is bad, Destroy All Podcasts DX, just that the kind of frequent adult language featured prominently in it doesn't really belong on CDX is all. I mean, we're covering stuff in here for kids as young as 4-5! Some parent might come along and show their kid something interesting on the site or something. And I also don't really want the reputation of CollectionDX.com to say that we have to curse to review toys and models is all. Just because we like to cover stuff from "Akira" or "Ghost in the Shell" doesn't mean that we have to... em... emulate that content here.
.
And just where is the warning for strong language on this particular podcast...? Mmm...? Look, I'm not here to get into a p***in' match with you or anything. You know your stuff, and I know mine. If you want to cover something, and it has language, put a clear, obvious warning in both the context of the review, the podcast itself, and (preferably) in the header of the topic so that the preview on the CDX homepage has it as well.
Just to be clear, I did not know what course Josh would take regarding this issue. He could quite possibly have told me that it was okay and left it where it was, and then I would have left it alone. But I have also found that people tend to read comments first before reading the main article/content. Primarily, I went to Josh because he is the final say; I wasn't gonna spar with you to an impass and then go to him after we were both too mad to talk to one another anymore.
.
I also went to him because this seemed way too off-topic for this site- there was no sci-fi or fantasy content anywhere within that film as you described it. That was the other reason I posted out in the open; I wanted to see how others would respond to my comment; Djdrastic's comment is an example of that.
.
Now, if it had been something like a grammar or factual error, then yeah, I would've gone straight to you first.
[BTW, Dj- Kiss my @$$; I'm entitled to voice my opinions in here as well! Don't like 'em, hey- don't have to read 'em.]

Hey Eva, please direct your comments about Destroy All Podcasts DX to me, Jeremy, or to Andrew, as we are the ones responsible, not Josh. Our ST podcasts are perfectly fine showing up on the podcast and not the CDX main page, but we are not going to stop swearing. The show has an explicit tag for a reason. If you don't like it, you don't have to listen to it. Our regularly scheduled Destroy All Podcasts DX podcast will be up in the next day or two and is about giant robots again if that makes you feel any better.
I agree that this is too OT for CDX. I am going to allow that they publish it as one of their podcasts, but I don't think it is appropriate for the front page.
...or rather how it is used to restrict programming that I find entertaining for various religious or political reasons that the majority do not approve of, I really don't think that the frequent use of four-letter words really belong on CDX. I refrain from using them in my reviews because I know that a wide range of people visit this site and read what is in here because we cover stuff that is important to them. Now, that's not to say that I haven't dropped an S-bomb or two in one of my reviews (ahem...) or certainly some of the comments I've made, but if this little broadcast were anywhere near on-topic with giant robots, space fortresses, form-fitting suited females, etc., I might be a little more tolerant. If it were covering something like, oh, "Mad Max" [which, to this day, is one of the most-overrated and confusing films I've ever seen], I might be able to understand why it's here. But this is BS. That language doesn't belong in a widely-accessible audio file anymore than this film deserves to be reviewed on CDX!
. JoshB, I recommend that either this audio review be redone without the excessive and quite-unnessesary expletives which fall like raindrops, or you just trash the review altogether since I don't really think that it belongs here in general.

Thanks for adding this review on Pegas. I Love all the features on this one, honestly I have a softspot for this show and characters. Pegas was a great character and this jumbo is outa sight! I love the mini Tekkaman figure (too bad it didn't come with the armoured Tekkaman figure)
I'm tellin' ya: a little primer and some acrylic paints would clear that annoyance right up! I'd be happy to do it for ya!
.
As for the different Sideshow Franks, I still think I prefer the very first one for the attire, head sculpt, and pallor. Sure, I'd probably add some padding under the coat to bulk up his shoulders, but the first figure has the right combination of visual features to remind me of the classic films.

...in any way related to a character of the same name from a later anime series also called "Tekkaman Blade" in the mid-to-late '90s? I only know it because it was dubbed in the US on the then-newly-created UPN TV network as "Teknoman", but failed to finish its American run for whatever reason. Even though I'm certain the dub was simplified for kids, I liked that show!
.
The T-shapped visor is similar between them, as is the double-sided blade weapon and color scheme (white, red, gold/yellow, and green).
Tekkaman has always been one of my favorite characters although the US version of the anime's Dub was sooo badly done! So bad it made the show real funny to watch. I picked up my VHS copy as a budget tape at K-Mart all those years ago, although I don't think I have it anymore.
As far as I know the show was never aired in Los Angeles
If you have the Pegas Jumbo I would love to see the review
Courtesy of Warren Schwartz comes this image of the Gun Hand accessory fist for Capsule Robo G, confirming it's existence. It shoots 4 different, crazy missiles!
Furthermore, I forgot to mention a variation on this toy. On most, the head of the toy is simply inserted into the opening in the shoulders, but on some, there are two tabs on either side of the neck that have to be lined up with holes in the shoulders first, then inserted and the head turned to straighten it out.
At least one known example of this actually came with Gun Hand included and 3 vinyl villains. I don't know if this was the way it was released or if there just happened to be extras in the box.

to me, i think gunbuster is the greatest of all SOC line. it is to me, in some degrees almost flawless. Durable. i dont know if it is just me, but i had not had one single paint chip so far. my voltes V, the mine i took it out of the box, i already had 2 paint chips by the ankle. joints are stiff, and flexible, but dont expect to do too many poses with the lower body, its so relatively heavy that it almost always have hard time balancing out. weapons could have been more detailed. other than that, this is better than the half eye studio one. get this one
i imagine it is a high quality chogokin, and would be a great entry for your very first soc collection. however, its design is not without flaws. its design is timid and stagnid. weapons that could have done better. this vs blue gale xabungle? id go with blue gale.
dunno if anyone gonna notice this comment, but...it seems to me this gaiking, is pretty good in terms of anime accuracy. but however, in a toy, it seems to be lacking the most important element. equipment!!! even though it is a diecast figure, weaponary is definitly protocal ;D. hehe, yeah i think it should include some sorta spear or axe, much like the regular chogokin set bandai made of gaiking. thats about it. is it just me, or paint chips on SOC is a commonality? heh
Yes, both Goranger & JAKQ are considered "Sentai" shows, The "Super" was only added later for your above reasons but has since been included in the "Super Sentai" cannon. Regardles I would still love to hook up with Heart Queen and Dyna Pink....

Yeah, I have the Jumbo Pegas and planned to get working on a review for it this week. I'll publish it sometime next weekend probably.
Yeah, I guess Tekkaman Blade was a remake of Tekkaman. I never saw either show, though.

As you have probably know, in the game, parts of the robots can be interchanged with other units to improve specifications.
I have read some reports that when you perform frequent part change, the joints will loosen quickly. Do you happen to experience this too?
I'm tempted to get these, since there are no more good representations of Front Mission bots in the market now, after the old Koto releases.

I am pretty sure the ST is a safety mark - that notates that the toy is acceptable for children.
