Continued from part 2.....finally!

Ceppi Ratti

The last "major" manufacturer of these toys was Ceppi Ratti. I would like be able to say that they made "Gundam", "Hanedaman", "Kimpo Warrior" and "Rocky Robot" and be done with it but of course, it's far, far more complicated than that. Even more-so than with SMC, we will soon be dealing with a lot of variations, although most of those are concerning the different color schemes of their toys rather than actual changes to molds. Let's dive right in, shall we?

The first toy that they made that I want to talk about is really not even a junior machinder at all. Instead it is a vehicle that junior machinders are meant to ride on called Modulo Spaziale. It's really the only separately sold accessory in this genre.

My reason for wanting to bring this one up first is because the box actually shows pictures of some of the color variations I'll be talking about later. So now when I say "seen on Modulo Spaziale box", you'll know what the heck I'm talking about.

As you can see on the box above, Ceppi Ratti made a nice junior machinder toy of Gundam. This is probably their "flagship" piece in the genre and one of the more desirable ones out there. As of now, there are no known variations. However, it should be noted that although the box for this lists the manufacturer as Ceppi Ratti and it's generally considered to be their toy, the back of the toy is actually stamped with "SMC"!

Unlike Gundam, our next subject has a great many variations. Hanedaman is a character that comes in two different versions and then each version has subsequent variations. The box for the toy shows the two different characters. One features the head of Combattler V, the other the head of Atoranger.

The Combattler V version has been seen in no less than FIVE color variations:

• Blue body, black arms, black legs (seen on Modulo Spaziale box above)
• Blue body, black arms, blue legs (first picture below)
• Black body, black arms, blue legs ( " )
• Yellow body, black arms, blue legs ( " )
• Yellow body, black arms, red legs (second picture below)

Meanwhile, the Atoranger version has only been seen in two variations:

• Black body, black arms, black legs (seen on Modulo Spaziale box above)
• Yellow body, blue arms, red legs (first picture below)

The next character on the list is similar to Hanedaman in that it features two characters on the box and each one has been seen with variations. Kimpo Warrior is a character that features the head of both Great Mazinger and Atoranger.

The Great Mazinger version has the following known color schemes:

• Yellow body, white arms, black legs (seen on Modulo Spaziale box above)
• Yellow body, white arms, red legs (first picture below)
• Blue body, black arms, black legs (second picture below)

The Atoranger version has been seen in five different color schemes:

• Black body, white arms, red legs (seen on Modulo Spaziale box above)
• Blue body, black arms, black legs (first picture below
• Black body, white arms, blue legs (second picture below)
• Yellow body, black arms, blue legs
• White body, black arms, blue legs

The last series of toys from Ceppi Ratti is the 4 piece "Rocky Robot" set. While there are 4 characters in this series, fortunately there is only one variation known (the Daikengo version has been seen with both red and blue arms) so far.
