Yep, just when you thought we had enough Valkyries to play with Yamato goes ahead and releases the color scheme I've wanted since I first saw Robotech in the '80s. Maximilian's VF-1A in the blue and white from the TV show! A color scheme that has never officially been done in any toy form before.

Yes, I KNOW I said Robotech. Get over it. I love Macross, but no amount or nerd-rage and bitching will ever wipe the fact that it is Robotech I feel the nostalgia for not Macross proper. Sorry. It's just the way it is.

Overall it is identical to previous releases so not much to go on about other than, these are the best toy's of the variable fighter ever made. Line-art accurate, solidly built, impeccable fit and finish. Yamato continues to impress with its quality control. So just enjoy the pictures.

The fighter is a stark white with blue accents over the fighter. Most remember the classic blue VF-1J that Max flies for the 2nd half of the show but I always loved this primarily white fighter with blue trim.

Yamato includes the standard articulated hands which fold into the arms, but also includes beefier animated style hands. I like these but hardly use them. I find the gun-pod doesn't sit as tightly in the hand and I like the look of the articulated hands just fine.
