Prototype colors may vary from actual product

Following the sold-out "Gore Version Sky Deviler" CollectionDX is proud to announce our latest exclusive toy - the Nor'easter ver. Vegetius!

Vegetius stands 12 inches tall and is made out of translucent blue glitter soft vinyl. Made in Japan by the master craftsmen at Marmit, Vegetius has 5 points of articulation and is limited to 50 pieces.

From the Kaiju Big Battel website:

"Vegetius is being most beast-like creature of Big Battel. No man and no monster can cantrolling giant bird-turtle when lunchtime is the nearing. Foraging for the roots of deliciousness is activity number one in forest and jungle home places. Stand by the side for Vegetius and friend counted, but stopping the will of pointy headed one and shell pain he brings!"

uhh, yeah.

This color scheme is meant to evoke the harsh, cold winter of the New England region, home to both CollectionDX and Kaiju Big Battel.

Vegetius is due to ship late 2008 (exact date TBD) and will come bagged with a header card designed by JoshB.

Head on over to the CDX store to place your order today!

(Edited so as to remain current) Nor'easter Vegetius

Holy crap, Josh, this is awesome!

If I can come up with the money in time (there's only 50!!), I'm most certainly buying one. I was gonna buy the only pink Marnon I could find on the whole internet but it might have to wait.

1. My mother is a very generous woman. Did some odd jobs and got some extra cash.

2. Thank you, Josh, for taking money orders. Many a time I've had to pass up on great deals on eBay because sellers have been inflexible.

It doesn't say anything about how much the shipping cost is, I'm guessing you won't know that until you're actually ready to ship them out or whatever. So I'll hold onto the money until you can give me a total, and then send it out ASAP!

Congrats, Josh--looks

Congrats, Josh--looks beautiful!! Brilliant colorway with a little New England flair! Hey, any chance you can leak a sneak peek of the header art??? ;)

I gotta tell ya, this is WAY better than the SDCC exclusive glowie I picked up (one of the first colorways of this sculpt).

In fact, I'd say this is better than ANY of the colorways out there (I think there are two non-glow versions that Kaiju Big Battel put out around the time of this past summer's SDCC). Can't wait to see this guy in person!

What is a colorway?

If it were almost any other kind of toy, most people would say "repaint". Each different paint scheme there is for a vinyl toy is called a colorway.

I don't collect vinyl (yet!), I just learned that from reading on CDX so much, ha!

Exactly: a "colorway" is a

Exactly: a "colorway" is a vinyl term, but it's slightly more than just a repaint because, beyond a simple paint scheme, it can also suggest a whole different type of vinyl. Like, one colorway could be a glowie, another a translucent, and another an opaque color.
