Metal Gear Sahelanthropus 1/100 scale Model Kit from Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

I figured there was a reason why they didn't allow people to see this model until after the game came out..
It's definitely not a REX remold, and really looks impressive.

Hopefully Kotobukiya will continue with that other now-defunct Konami project... cough non-scale Nephtis.

Is this going to be in the $50 price range or closer to the $150 price range? I can never judge with these. But it's a nuclear-armed, roaring Balrog Gundam (I watched a Let's Play and holy crap this thing is awesome in action), so it's really tempting.

Kotobukiya Price Model

From what I saw for the Metal Gear Rex, which cost about 80-90$ I wouldn't be surprised if this cost close to 100$ . With Kotobukiya, you some times pay for the quality of the fine scale parts design. but its relative size is pretty impressive for 1:100 scale, and the transformation ability is really incredible.

What I'd be more interested to know is if they make the usual 'prepainted' parts the lights on the nose of the cockpit or if they'd do the Skull Face pattern.

Called it

Okay, it's easy for me to say "Called it"

According to Kotobukiya's price via HLJ. it will be 105$ USD.

According to Koto USA, their preorder version (which comes with a poster drawn by Yoji Shinkawa) it costs 150$ USD.
