Bandai America Incorporated, a leader in introducing hot Japanese trends to the U.S. toy marketplace, today announced an exclusive and rare live appearance by the Power Rangers from the 13th season of the hit series, Power Rangers SPD.
The meet & greets with the uniformed Rangers will take place in Bandai America’s booth (booth #3713) on Sunday, July 17th at Comic-Con 2005 from 12:30-1:00pm and 1:30-2:00pm. All fans in attendance will be able to take photos with the Power Rangers and will receive an autographed poster.
“Bandai America is very excited to host the SPD Rangers at Comic-Con since there are few opportunities for fans to meet their favorite heroes in person,” said Matthew Golding, director of marketing, Bandai America Inc. “Not only will kids be able to shake hands with the Power Rangers, they’ll also get a preview of all the hot action figures, Megazords, role-play and other toys that will be coming soon from Bandai America.”
Bandai America’s Power Rangers toy line has consistently been ranked as one of the top boys’ action brands since its debut back in 1992. At the end of 2005, Bandai America will have produced more than 170 million toys, with every two out of three U.S. households owning a 5″ Power Rangers action figure.
The SPD toy line features a unique police theme, and includes action figures of various sizes, vehicles, Megazords and role-play. In fact, 2005 sees the largest role-play offering for the brand, as Bandai America has now secured the full license for this product category.
