Ok, so we weren’t in Japan for this, but lots of other people were. Here’s the scoop…
First of all, Bandai showed us a lot of things that were really teases.
- They showed some alternate color versions of Voltes V and Combattler V that never got past prototype stage.
- They showed some cool bases, that will never see the light of day.
- They showed prototypes of Daimos, Shin Jeeg and L-Gaim
- They announced GX-44 as the 80’s Tetsujin 28, and then GX-45 as something from Super Robot Wars.
- They displayed the completed Raideen SOC.
- They showed off a GREEN SOC Irongear
- Blueprints for the T-28
Matt Alt went to the expo, and gave us some great write ups. First off they had an exhibition of the manufacturing process behind the Soul of Chogokin series. Matt also gives a sweet overview of the whole show here.
He also has some interesting things to say here
Dengeki Online has some great photos here
GA Graphic has coverage here
Toycan has coverage here. Note the Prototype SOC’s shown in Dengeki Hobby. The clear versions and bases are for show only and won’t be for sale.
