I have a confession to make. I never got the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I mean, I got the original comics, the Eastman and Laird ones, but then the bastardized kid-friendly version came out and at that point I jumped ship and never looked back. It's a testament to the staying power of the brand though that we've come this far and we're still seeing merchandise from the franchise. P2173575.jpg Playmates is now doing small scale playsets in addition to their standard Turtles line - the figures that come with these sets are even more kiddie than the regular ones, a trend no doubt traceable back to those Galactic Heroes figures Hasbro puts out. But here we are, and it is what it is. P2173570.jpg P2173571.jpg P2173572.jpg P2173574.jpg The playsets will all attach to each other to form a city scene. P2173569.jpg also shown were some transforming turtle armored things. They can be transformed from Robot mode to Vehicle mode, because you know things that transform are all the rage these days.
