One of the great pleasures of Toy Fair is meeting up and coming toy creators. By chance I ran into Idolz Toys in the action figure aisle, and I got the chance to learn about this new company and their product.
Idolz are stackable wearable action figures. They resemeble Easter Island statures, with various arms and accessories that can be added to them. They are post-designer toys - toys simple in execution and fun, but without the pretense that the designer scene can bring. First and foremost, these are neat little toys.
Each Idolz toy comes packaged with a lanyard, accessories, and an Idol. the Idolz are stackable, customizable and interchangeable.
Future releases will have different color schemes and different accessories. Some in display had some cool wings that really add a nice touch to the look of the figures.
the men behind Idolz - Damien Noble and Brandon Reddick, were really enthusiastic and really into what they do, which is such a great thing to see. It shows that they have a real personal connection to their product and that they pour their hear tand soul into what they do.
