Thanks to fun.com for these review samples. Get yours here I slept on getting the first series of Rick and Morty figures. They didn't look great in the package, and I thought the face sculpts of Rick and Morty themselves were a bit off-putting. Well, the good news is that the figures are overall much better out of the package, and at the $11.99 price point they are more than acceptable. I guess I am just a bit bummed that the weakest of the set are the titular characters. Let's take a look at each one and the bonus build a figure. Rick

Each figure comes in a non-resealable blister card, and the cards are identical, so there's no reason to save them. The figure is great, construction wise. Good articulation, much more durable and poseable than I anticipated. Rick's coat is rubber and flexes out of the way when posing. But there is something off about his head sculpt. Maybe that it seems like it doesn't represent how we see Rick 90% of the time in the show. Maybe he just needs eyelids? I don't know. But the "suddenly realizing their insignificance in the universe" look isn't doing it for me. But, it's a Rick figure, and that in itself is cool. Rick comes with a flask and his Portal Gun.

Morty

Morty is a bit better than Rick, but still a tough likeness to capture despite what appears to be a simple character design. Morty is a bit shorter, and the two posed together look nice. I had a small issue with the hips being very tight on Morty, so much so that I stopped trying to move them in fear of breaking them. Morty comes with a laser pistol.

Birdperson

Birdperson is actually a great figure. The sculpt is perfect, he's got some heft to him, good articulation, and even moveable bird wings! He comes with no accessories aside from the build-a-figure part, and that's likely due to the added cost of adding wings. Such a great figure and I can hear Dan Harmon's voice when I look at it.

Mr. Meeseeks

Mr. Meeseeks is a simple figure, but with most of these figures, they mostly serve to remind you of that cool part in a show, rather than be a proper good action figure. I mean a great toy does both, but a good toy can fulfill one or the other requirement. Mr. Meeseeks comes with a gun and a golf club. The Club relates to the task one of the Mr. Meeseeks were given to help Jerry take two strokes off of his golf game.

Mr. Poopy Butthole

I really can't explain Mr. Poopy Butthole to you, but I'm going to go out on a limb here and assume that you already are a fan and know it. While this figure is slight, of a throwaway character, it's actually nicely done. The figure comes with a bottle of pills and a cane, for use for his recovery after being shot.

Snowball

Snowball is the reason to buy this entire set. He's a sentient dog who has built his own powered armor, leading a revolt against the humans. I love it. It's not much of an action figure per se, with only 4 points of articulation. Which leads me to a little off-topic comparison. McFarlane also released a buildable Snowball as part of Summer's bedroom set, and the two are nearly identical in size but entirely different in construction and detail Funko's is entirely accurate, while McFarlane must have skipped watching that episode.
