At CollectionDX, we love anything to do with Giant Robots. But we love it more when it's Giant Robots done by some local guys who grew up in the same era we did.

Robot God Akamatsu is a comic created by James Biggie and Frankie B Washington, who are from New England. Their comic is a giant love letter to the robots and culture we all grew up with.  Here's a brief synopsis of the story:

Robot God AKAMATSU is a valentine to the Super Robot genre of the late 1970’s and early 1980’s. Giant robots and monsters attack Boston, and Robot God Akamatsu (RGA, for short) is the city’s only form of defense!

RGA is also about the relationship between a father and his estranged son, about the abuse of power and how far some are willing to go to see their goals met. It’s a little bit Ultraman, a little bit Voltron, a little bit Force Five, and a mighty dollop of Shogun Warriors.

CollectionDX celebrates the occasion of the new Robot God AKAMATSU site at http://www.robotgodakamatsu.com. On the site you will find the first chapter for free, with some shout-outs to some people familiar to our readers in the back!

The team at RGA designed new artwork exclusively for CollectionDX and it now graces our banner:
