Series: Super Mario Bros.

Invented by legendary Nintendo Video Game creator Shigeru Miyamoto and designed by a team consisting of Miyamoto, Yōichi Kotabe, and Shigefumi Hino, Italian plumber Mario Mario a.k.a. “Super Mario” first debuted in 1981’s Donkey Kong video game. He was soon joined by his taller brother Luigi Mario as their plumbing business led them down suspiciously large green pipes and into the adventurous world of the Mushroom Kingdom, where they would meet odd characters such as Toad, who would task them with rescuing Princess Peach from the evil clutches of Bowser, the King of the Koopas.
