Orguss Orgroid II

This is a bootleg of the somewhat rare Orguss II 1:80 scale toy originally made by Takatoku. This boot is rather unusual as we mostly saw bootlegs of the hero Orguss Orgroid mecha from the show.
The box is very similar to it's japanese counterpart, lifiting some elements directly and translating others.

Inside, the toy sits in one of those too-thin plastic trays.
For a bootleg, it's not bad. The mold is reasonably tight with minimal flash, details are good. Some stickers are applied but it's missing the sticker sheet that came with the original.
The included gun pegs into the right arm.
It can convert into all four modes. Somehow I missed Gerwalk mode, but you get the idea.

2 comments postedI remember buying this toy at the local candy store / video rental place in North Brookfield, MA. This was when Robotech was huge (for me, at least) in New England.

Those things were everywhere here in Milwaukee when I was a kid. I had 3 of them!
