Released by Marmit and tracked down by yours truly. The box is the typical Marmit M.O (modus operandi)- cool cover art and simple plastic tray.
I never saw the anime/cartoon but the figure has a nice old school style of TETSUJIN 28.
Unfortunately, as with too many Marmit items, there are casting and paint flaws.
Also, the hands are a cheap hollow plastic (weird design choice)... think bootleg jumbo plastic feel.
The rest of the robot is nicely detailed and crafted, like the head with jeweled eyes, and nice body dimensions.
I don't love this figure, but I do like it. I would regret selling it, it is very hard to find, but it is not what I would grab first in a house fire.

6 comments postedThis is a great toy and thanks for turning me onto it! I love the retro diecast, but how big is it? Could you put it next to an SOC Mazinger or Tetsujin so I can gage the size on it? Thanks
LF
added picture with a SOC mazinger and an Aoshima getter for context...normal use my "tab" can avatar...forgot on this review...
Thanks for adding it so quick! For $80 that's not too bad, especially if it scales nicely with SOC toys for uniformity.
Again, thanks for the review and turning me onto it, I will have to locate one now.
BTW are there any color variations like Chrome or Metallic?
Thanks
LF
there is the comic version (red box) and anime version (blue box) ,,,version names might be called different, go by box...with pictures i have see, the trim was different. but I could be wrong...Red seems to be more common. I hate not knowing the context of an item...I did a review for a ultraman chogokin I bought not knowing the size and it ended up being inch long...so that i why Josh's idea of a review icon for context helps.
Great, just good to know this info. Also you've been doing a great job with all your reviews, the subjects you choose are great!
Cheers!
LF
