Aunt Beru with Service Droid

Poor Aunt Beru. She only wanted what was best for Luke, and as a result, gets toasted to a cinder by Imperial Stormtroopers.

Released in 1999 as part of the Power of the Force line, she was packaged with a Treadwell Service Droid, Blue Milk container, and Blue Milk glass. This was part of the Flashback Photo series that featured an image that changed by sliding down a tab. Figures released in this series were meant to tie in to the upcoming Episode 1: The Phantom Menace.

I bought this figure for the inclusion of the Treadwell Droid (aka Service Droid) but it’s rather underwhelming. The only point of articulation is at the base of the central shaft.

As far as I know this is the only version of this toy available (aside from a re-release from Empire Strikes Back in 2006).

Beru is a fine figure. The character is not one that really needs an action pose, so she looks fine holding her milk containers.
