Blocker Gundan IV

Blocker Gundan IV (Better known as Boss Palder) comes from the 1976 anime “Blocker Gundan 4 Machine Blaster”. There are four robots in the series, but Boss Palder is by far the most popular.

70’s Memories Recall has chosen Boss Palder as the third entry in their Robot Heroes vinyl toy line. I have to say I love that they are picking these obscure and unloved super robot designs for their line. Their style meshes well with their character choices.

Like all their releases, Boss comes bagged with a header card. The header is unique to each release.

Boss Palder stands 27cm tall and is made entirely out of soft vinyl. He’s beautiful.

Being vinyl, there are limitations to what can be done with articulation. One of the great things about this line is how many swivel joints they actually work into the figures. Boss has about 10 moveable swivel joints enabling subtle posing.

Maker’s mark stamped on the bottom of the feet is a sofubi staple.

The best thing about these is that they look REALLY good together. I really regret selling off the first one, and now I have to pay the aftermarket price to track it down.
