Raideen
Here is one of the more unusual Raideen toys I’ve come across. It is a 4″ high clear toy made out of some kind of rubber/vinyl. I’m not sure what kind of material it is exactly, because the toy is beginning to melt.
The toy is basically a piece of detailed cardboard, sandwiched between 2 molded pieces of clear plastic. no articulation at all.
This piece is only for die-hard collectors. It comes poly bagged with a header and backing card. Ironically, the text on the backing card says: “Raideen’s arms and legs can move freely”.
Raideen is made by a small toy company called Marukoshi, who also made an assortment of puzzle toys of Raideen. Marukoshi still operates today in Japan.
