The Crow
Ah, The Crow. A great story that is often overlooked by the tragic death of Brandon Lee. I’ve been a big Crow fan for a long time, and I’ve had a few different toy interpretations of the main character (but never a comic version). This one from Diamond Select toys is both excellent and affordable.

The package is typical of Diamond Select – flimsy and low effort, but that’s ok, i’m here for the figure.
Included is a figure, tombstone, 2 crows, a guitar and a variant hand.
The likeness is great – just a tad bit cartoony, just enough to give him some sly expression that really brings out the character.
I will mention that Diamond Select seems a bit behind times with their action figure technology. The joints still have exposed pins, and there’s no excuse for the T-jointed waist in 2023.
His guitar can be slung over his shoulder – it’s nicely detailed and the default hand pose works for holding in in place.
The tombstone has nice weathered detail and one of the crows can peg into the top of it. It’s not super secure though, and bumping it causes it to fall off.
In addition to that, another crow is included. This actually comes from another set that was a Walgreens / Target exclusive that had a clear connector that would allow you to display the bird actually flying near The Crow. It’s a bit of an oversight to not include this clear bit in this set, but if you have a Tamashii Stand, that can be used in its place.
Finally, the last cool inclusion is the variant hand. This hand has a bullet wound in it as seen in the movie.
This is a great set despite the omission of the clear stand. It’s affordable considering all you get, and even though it shares parts with another set, it’s unique enough to warrant the purchase.
