I don’t know why I even bought this. I was in the middle of my SDCC buying frenzy and at the time the idea of a wooden robot with a skull head appealed to me. And it’s called DEATHBOT.

DEATHBOT! DO YOU HEAR ME!

Unfortunately, the cool factor wears off once you handle it.

The package is downright gorgeous, with a think full color glossy cardboard box with a die-cut window on front. This things opens like a Jewelry box.

Deathbot is about 4″ tall, and yeah, made out of wood. The printing on it is nice, and details are fine, and you have to admire the wood. I’m not sure what kind of wood it is, but I figure just calling it wood is good enough.

Poseability is essentially NIL. Nada. Zilch. The arms are made of bendy wire with wooden rings around them. In theory, you could bend them if you had more room, but as it is they are so tight they don’t move at all.

The other semi-cool thing is the Gamma-Go logo in Japanese on the chest.

It’s a neat little thing, more of an art piece than a toy. I kind of regret getting it, but I think I was so caught up in the “OH MY GOD I AM AT COMICON” thing that I let my judgment lapse. You be the judge.
