Doggie Cruger

Doggie Cruger is the canine leader of the SPD team of Power Rangers. Here he is in 12″ form, one the Talking S.P.D. Action Figures from Bandai America.

The figure is fully articulated and comes in a vinyl suit with plastic shoulder pads. The pads are held on with velcro and are easily lost if played with. The suit is removable (not that you’d want to).

Doggie Cruger comes with no accessories, although he can easily use weapons from other 12″Power Ranger figures. A button on his back activates one of two sounds. The sounds are a battle howl, and a metallic clang. I expected a talking action figure to at least talk, and make more than two sounds.

The figure itself is decent, and a nice sculpt. The sound feature is lackluster, but the retail price of this figure is low, so that kind of makes up for it.

Good for kids, bad for collectors.
