Dougram & Soltic
In my quest to get all the Takara Dougram toys, sometimes you have to take the bad with the good. Such is the case with this set of soft vinyls.
These vinyls were sold individually bagged, or in this two-pack. The box has some nice art, but the Takara logo is nowhere to be found on it. Perhaps even the maker was embarrassed to associate with them.
There isn’t much to love about either of these toys. They are misshapen, poorly painted, and completely out of proportion.
The figure of the Dougram Combat armor is just fugly. The toy is not warped, it was actually molded that way. There’s something clearly wrong with the waist.
The head is comically large.
I’m surprised this thing stands at all.
The Soltic fares a little better, but loses points for being half the size of the Dougram. It’s like a toy of a toy that the Dougram plays with. A vinyl robot teddy bear.
” I shall hug him and pet him and call him George” said Dougram.
These are the things we collect.
