The Creature from the Black Lagoon

Ironically, one of the absolute worst statues ESCO ever made was of one of the most popular monsters out there. Their Creature from the Black Lagoon statue is just terribly ugly.

The whole thing is a mess, but nowhere did they drop the ball more than on the head sculpt. It looks more like an alien than the Gill Man. Even my dad, upon seeing it the first time, was like “That’s terrible”.

This one measures just a small amount under 16″ tall, making it significantly shorter than all the other classic monster in the line.

The back of the base is marked simply “ESCO”.
