Gamera

Have I mentioned that I really dig Gamera? This version of Gamera is from the 1996 movie Gamera 2: Legion Advent. It depicts Gamera in a flying pose, with his legs retracted and his wings swept out.

Marusan did something interesting with this. Instead of going for the gritty realistic version of Gamera as depicted in the movies, they did a sort of retro take on the character, using brightly colored vinyl and smooth lines.

Gamera is cast in blue soft vinyl and is articulated in the head and wings. Paint applications are all bright and solid.

I love the metallic green, blue and silver paint apps.

Gamera was sold bagged with a header card.
