R2-B1

R2-B1 was one of the Astromech droids on Queen Amidala’s Royal Starship. He was destroyed trying to repair damage during the attack while escaping from Naboo.

I really liked the 30th anniversary toy line. I liked the packaging a lot, and I liked the coins that were included with the figures.

This droid comes packaged with a commerative coin and a droid harness.

The coin is nice and reminiscent of the coins that came with the vintage Power of the Force figures.

The figure itself is nice. This R2 mold features the action feature where you turn the head and the third leg hides in the body. The body has nice proportions and the head has a light-pipe feature for the droid’s eye. The feet have little wheels to roll on, and overall there is a nice level of detail and paint applications.
