Hyper Drill Robo Gashapon
Hyper Drill Robo is a well detailed and painted figure that has all the necessary details of his show model, unlike Fire Robo, and is one of my favorite figures from this wave of gashapons.
In terms of paint, the only glaring omission in deco is his toes, which are left black, but from the windshields on his bulldozer arms and legs, to his tiny red visor every necessary detail is incorporated and well applied. Fine details like the treads on his arms and feet are very intricately sculpted for the small size.
After putting his 10 parts together, Hyper Drill Robo doesn’t retain the functionality of his larger figure, but does have respectable articulation. His feet swivel an acceptable degree and so do the shins but the arms rotate 360 degrees at the shoulders and elbows which is pretty nice, and the head rotates all the way around as well.
When compared to Jet and Fire Robo, Drill Robo is around the same size but unlike the latter, he stands up without any problems.
I’m happy to say, this is a nice little gashapon who has solid paint and articulation with no real problems with standing, as his feet are pretty big. I would recommend this figure to anyone who is interested, especially if you’re a fan of Machine Robo or mecha.
