Joe the Condor

Joe the Condor was an important and tragic anti-hero character from Science Ninja Team Gatchaman. The last 5 episodes of the series are some of the finest anime melodrama ever produced due to the great character development of Joe and the viewer’s attachment to his story arch.

Popy’s mini-soft vinyl of Joe Asakura aka Joe The Condor is a nice addition to the mini-soft vinyl collection and a great period representation of the character. This figure originally came in a set of 5 Gatchaman figures on a blister and card packaging from Gatchaman II. No cape was included.

I’m not sure if they used the same toy mold for Gatchaman and Joe, as they both look similar but do not look exactly alike.

Like many mini-soft vinyl figures out of the package you can usually pick these up between $5.00 to $15.00 although a minty complete package will cost a premium. A great addition to your vintage 1970’s Popy Soft Vinyl collection.
