Japan will strap armor on anything, and that’s not a bad thing. In this case, the line is called “Keitora Busou”.

The name means armored truck, specifically a “Kei” truck. Kei trucks are basically Japan’s pickup trucks / delivery trucks, and they are everywhere. Busou means “Armored” so Keitora Busou means “Armored Kei Truck.”

This is a lower priced line, and they are usually sold in a countertop display with an assortment of models. Each is clearly marked, so there is no confusion to which one you are going to get.

It is a model kit, so you need to put it together, even the truck. Two vehicles are included in the kit.

The truck is easy to assemble, and all plastic. It’s about the same size as a Matchbox or Tomica car, but this one has connection holes built all over. 

The second vehicle is a farm tractor. It’s cast in grey and it’s parts are held together by the parts that enable the combination of the two vehicles. It’s really just another mode for the armor than a usable vehicle. It could do with a coat of paint.

The tractor breaks down to it’s component parts as follows.

The first mode is robot mode. It’s small, but cute. The parts plug into various holes around the vehicle, and there is some decent articulation.

The second mode is a sort of augmented truck mode.

It’s a fun little kit, but I suspect you will get more out of it if you have all four sets to build larger creations.
